    Edinburgh, Scotland
Off to England I went to get a better understanding of Wold’s Fairs, and found myself drawn toward the north. I had a down day, so I decided to jump a train at King’s Cross station and headed up to Edinburgh to visit the place where my favorite book series, Harry Potter, began.

    Paris, France
Here are a few photos from my favorite city in the world! Paris, France is truly a magical place. Everything from the food to the architecture and art are simply mind blowing. Jeff, Tara, and I ended our first European film trip here, and I’m really glad we did. All the back breaking days were well paid by a few light shooting days in the ‘city of love.’

    Japan

    Japan
I had no way of knowing that I would begin work on y second feature length documentary while only being half way finished with my first. My supervisor, Don Moore and Dr. Miki Crawford set off for Japan in early October, 2009 for a few weeks to learn more about Japanese War Brides. This documentary will look into the lives and trials of Japanese women who married American servicemen during the occupation of Japan following WWII.

Jeff and I decided it would benefit the audience to better understand how other industrialized nations handle their World’s Fair participation. With that, we set off to visit our cousins across the pond. Our buddy Mike Donley jumped on board for this leg of the journey.

At random points in my life I would hear about the grandeur of World’s Fairs, and think about how amazing it would have been to be alive and experience such events. Like so many other Americans, I thought they were relics of the past. Thank God I was wrong! Luckily my close friend Jeff Ford was of the same mind, and also looking for a project to test his skills of filmmaking against, because together we set out in search of the World’s Fair and in doing so, attended one. In September of 2008, I experienced, first hand, my first World’s Fair.

    Las Vegas, NV
My supervisor at OU and I attended the NAB and BEA convention in Las Vegas this year. It was your standard convention, and Vegas was nice, but I think a week is too long for Vegas. It strikes me more of a weekend town. However, I did get to se Elton perform his last engagement of “The Red Piano.” That was an incredible experience I’ve been looking forward to for a very long time.

    Carolina Beach, NC
This is possibly one of my favorite places on earth to simply get away and regroup. It’s not a place of spectacle, it’s not adventurous, it’s just a beautiful and peaceful place to recharge.

Before Jeff and I decided to take up the reigns on solving the mystery of the World’s Fair, Jeff called me in to work with he and Joe Barta on another project documenting the journey of a sculpture.

    Hanover and Celle, Germany
Let me just say that I love Germany. I’m not sure if it was because the weather was soo much more amiable than that of Spain, or the fact that we finally had enough time to eat, but either way, Germany is a must visit again soon.

It really pays to play local tourist from time to time. We have some nice day trip destinations here in the Ohio River Valley. Carter Caves is one of my favorite local sites. This day, our friend Josh Noe joined Seth and I.

Ewoks, Transformers, and Ghostbusters… Oh My! Seth and I joined Jeff in Knoxville, TN for a weekend at Adventure Con. It was the catalyst of the World’s Fair documentary, and, we thought, a great way to start the documentary. This was possibly one of the more bizarre, yet extremely fun, dork fest weekends I’ve ever had.

Bozeman, MT in January is THE consistently coldest place I’ve ever been! We were here shooting an interview for “Where’s The Fair” and decided to swing over to Yellowstone while in town.
